Principal Consultant
Dr David Small is an independant consultant, trading under the name of PharmaLiaison Ltd (Registration No. 06230636) providing services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology  industry. With over thirty years experience in research and senior management in ICI, Zeneca and Stiefel Laboratories Inc., Dr Small specialises in pharmaceutical development up to Phase 1 and Intellectual Property Law. At Stiefel laboratories, he was Head of Scientific Development and established the companies "virtual research network", initiating and managing an extensive programme of collaborative and partnership arrangements with both academic and contract organisations. 

In addition to degrees in Chemistry and Biochemistry, Dr Small holds a Masters in Law and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. He is also a Visiting Professor at the University Of Sunderland School of Pharmacy.

Where appropriate to a specific project, PharmaLiaison draws upon an inhouse database of expert consultants covering toxicology, regulatory affairs, process design and manufacturing and commercial development.
